We are seeking a leader to drive IP licensing, market development, and customer
engagement
across defense and commercial sectors.

Role Summary

The Commercialization & IP Licensing Lead will accelerate PQSecure’s market adoption by
driving customer discovery, partnership development, licensing strategy, and go-to-market
execution. The ideal candidate understands both deep technical architectures
(ASIC/FPGA/SW crypto/RoT/Secure Enclave) and commercial IP licensing models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct customer discovery across defense, dual-use, IoT, semiconductor, and EDA tooling verticals.
  • Define value propositions for PQC HW IP, SW IP, RoT modules, and secure enclave solutions.
  • Develop pricing/licensing models (royalty, subscription, per-core, per-device).
  • Build commercialization roadmap and dual-use go-to-market strategy.
  • Engage partners across: Semiconductor/SoC, FPGA/ASIC, secure device vendors, EDA ecosystems, IP licensing firms, and chip fabrication/design houses.
  • Create investor materials and lead strategic engagement discussions.
  • Support patent positioning, IP landscape review, and FTO strategy.
  • Assist with compliance readiness for CNSA 2.0, FIPS 203/204/205, ACVP, NIAP, etc.
  • Produce datasheets, onboarding guides, and integration kits for customer enablement.
  • Track commercialization KPIs and deliver concise progress reports.

Required Qualifications

Technical Background

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
  • Understanding of:
    o ASIC/FPGA design flows, RTL IP, silicon integration
    o Root of Trust, Secure Enclave, Secure Boot
    o Cryptographic HW/SW, embedded security, key management
    o Post-quantum cryptography (preferred)

Commercial Experience

  • 5–15 years in product management, business development, technical sales, or
    IP licensing, within:
    o Semiconductor / ASIC / FPGA / SoC
    o Security IP or cryptographic libraries
    o Embedded systems and secure computing
    o EDA, silicon design services, or chip design ecosystems
  • Familiarity with IP licensing negotiation and semiconductor sales cycles.

Soft Skills

  • Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and execution-focused.
  • Strong communicator with both engineers and executives.
  • Capable of translating technical concepts into customer-ready messaging.

Ideal Candidate

A technically fluent commercialization leader who has worked with cryptographic IP,
secure enclave/RoT, silicon IP
, or embedded security, and understands how to drive
adoption across defense and dual-use markets.
